i need some more winter flavors on deck but for now i’m working with pecan praline. i’m really not complaining because it’s a classic and there’s a reason for it. it’s delicious

these brownies turned out so well. they were moist and fudgy and amazing. pecan praline brownies with maple cream cheese frosting.

another long name but i have to describe it perfectly through the name first. i love anything with pecans in it and these brownies are no exception.

i know a lot of people are now in their third lockdown so if you need some more baking to do, add this one to your list.

Pecan Praline Brownies:
1 1/3 cup almond flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tbs cinnamon
3/4 cup and 2 tbs butter
1 1/2 coconut sugar
1 tbs vanilla extract
3 eggs
3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup pecan pieces

Maple cream cheese frosting:
8 oz light cream cheese
1 1/2 cup Truvia confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tbs milk
1 tbs maple syrup

preheat oven to 350f and grease a brownie pan. sift the almond flour and cocoa powder into a bowl. add in salt and cinnamon and stir. in a separate bowl, add in melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs. whisk together and then add to the dry ingredients. add pecan halves to a bag and smash until forming little bits. then pour in the chocolate and pecans into the batter. add the batter to the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
make the cream cheese frosting by adding soft cream cheese to a bowl and sifted confectioners sugar. add the rest of the ingredients and beat with a mixer until combined and into a frosting. store it in the refrigerator.
after the brownies have cooled, cover them with frosting, cut them up, and enjoy!
