i’ve had tofu for three days in a row guys, i never thought this would happen
i never really had tofu until this year but it’s so easy to work with and you can transform it into so many things
like this time i made some nuggets and they were *chefs kiss* i’m in love
i bought silken tofu instead of firm so i couldn’t just cut them up. so i blended it all up and wow it turned out so well. crunchy from the coconut and bread crumbs with a sweet and spicy sauce🤤
coconut honey tofu:
1 block tofu
1/2 cup wheat flour
2 tbs corn starch
2 tsp dijon mustard
red pepper flakes
blend up the tofu and add to bowl. pour in corn starch and then add in wheat flour while mixing. add in flour until it forms a texture you can mold with.
in another bowl pour in a 4:1 amount of coconut flakes and panko bread crumbs
roll into little circles and flatten a little. then roll into the coconut and bread crumbs. repeat until all the tofu is used and put in an air fryer at 350f. cook for 15 minutes or until crispy. be sure to flip halfway.
in a small bowl add in about 2 tbs honey, dijon mustard, red pepper flakes and soy sauce to taste, and the juice from one small orange. mix it all together.
after the tofu is done, place a serving into a bowl with rice, pour sauce over it and enjoy!!
