this caramel chai bowl of oatmeal is all things good and sweet. i’ve been loving everything caramel lately and this is no exception
i made coconut caramel sauce for the first time to top this off which will be in the recipe too.
it tasted so good and was very filling, a perfect amount of sweetness and spice
if you love chai then you’ll love this
Caramel Chai Oatmeal:
1/2 cup chai concentrate
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup oats
2 tsp coconut sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Coconut Caramel Sauce:
1 tin of canned coconut milk
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla
make the sauce first by pouring coconut milk, coconut sugar, and sea salt into a pot. bring it to a boil and then turn to a simmer (medium low). let simmer for 30 minutes and take off heat. add coconut oil and vanilla. set aside to let thicken.
boil almond milk and chai concentrate then add in oats and turn down to a simmer. add in the rest of the ingredients and let simmer for about 10 minutes until it’s all been absorbed. put the oats in a bowl and top with greek yogurt, banana slices, and a spoonful of caramel. enjoy!!
